Lately I have been really burdened for the lost. People are going to Hell and I can do something about it, but I don't. Another thing that has been bothering me is my hypocrisy. I act and say one thing around certain people and around other people I am a different person. This video by Casting Crowns hit me right in the heart. I need to be reaching the people like this girl in the video.

Mrs. Miller
Four years ago today, my accordian teacher, Karen Millier died after fighting lung cancer for several years. She and her husband were song leaders at my church for as long as I can remember. She played her accordian, and I remember watching her and thinking "I wish I could play the accordian." Well, I asked her if she would teach me how to play the accordian, and she took me to a back room and we prayed about it. Two weeks later someone gave her a accordian, so she started teaching me how to play. Mrs. Miller was more than a teacher, she was avery close friend. SHe told my Mom that I was like the daughter she never had. I had never experianced death before she died. I was just crushed. Now four years later I still miss her, but I know that she's in a better place. When I saw the video by Mercyme below, it was like God was talking right to me. I miss Mrs. Miller terribly, but I will see her again.

Are There Anymore Real Cowboys?
This is an awesome song. You have to listen really close to the words though.
Momentum 2007
Momentum 2007 was awesome! I met some awesome cowboys. It was at Jason and Leslie's ranch. I volunteered there. I got picked up at 10:30 Thursday and 6:30 Friday and Saturday. It was awesome. I got some conformation on several things like me wanting to be a worship leader. I played and sang with Branded, a christian country group. That was awesome. I also met three of the glory riders. They really encouraged me. In two years I am ,Lord willing, going out to California to visit them. Hopefully I will mature in my riding before then. The pastor of the church where the glory riders go used to be a hostage negotiator. He's a really big guy. I thought it was so cool that he was a hostage negotiator because I used to want be one. Anyway, hopefully I will get some pictures of Momentum. Later. :)

America's Got Talent
These next videos are from America's Got Talent. I think they're from 2006 though. Any way I couldn't decide which act I like better so I chose to put both of them on there. They both made to the finals I think, but I couldn't find Celtic Spring's final. Any way. Here they are!

Foal Watch
On Friday me and the Harvey girls did foal watch at Briar Creek. We didn't catch any, but we had fun anyways.
On Friday during our lessons I got bucked off of Texas. Only me and one other girl have ever ridden him, other than Missy. We were playing bull hockey and I snapped Texas with the reins (Missy said that if he wouldn't go to snap him with the reins) and he got really excited and bucked me. This the helmet after I got bucked. I cleaned it off a bit, but it was still dirty. I was so sore Sunday.
This is me with Flash. We were going to groom him.

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken
This is a great movie that I would recommend to anyone. It's based on a true story. In places it's funny, sad, inspiring, and romantic. I love it because there are horses in it, and it's inspiring. Enjoy!

New job

I started my job. It was awesome! The first thing we (me and Liv) did was clean out the stalls, then we got to groom the horses. When the kids that were having lessons came in we helped them untack and brush the horses. I'm going again on Friday. The name of the ranch I work at is Briar Creek Ranch. This picture is of me and a horse in Canada, hopefully I'll get pictures of me at the ranch. When I turn 14 I'll be able to help Missy teach. I'll post more later.

A JOB!
I got a job! I went with the Harvey's to their riding lessons and after Olivia and I asked their teacher, Missy, if we could work for her. She said yes! I start on Wednesday. I'm going to be mucking out stalls, tacking the horses up and down, feeding and watering the horses, helping Missy teach, leading some of the kids on the horses, and helping with trail rides. I can hardly wait until I start.
Colorado
Colorado was awesome! We had sooo much fun! The train ride was okay, but it got kind of boring. Angela is soooo cute. I told my Uncle Donny about my ranch, and he's going to be my manager and drummer. We went to the Prorodeo hall of fame with my two cousins and to Focus on the Family.

The Band
I am hopefully starting a band with Kelsea and Ashley. Kelsea's on the drums I'm on the guitar, and Ashley's singing. I can hardly wait to start. I've been playing my guitar for at least an hour a day. "You're not playing the guitar unless your fingers bleed."Anonymous

Never Alone (Barlowgirl)
This is an awesome video of Barlowgirl. Especially for Liv, Beesh, and Kat. All my fellow Barlowgirl fanatics. LOL
Riding
I went riding for the first time today at Kelly's. Danny and I went to his house at 1:00 and didn't leave until 5:00. We went riding halfway to the house and then Kelly dropped us off and we walked the rest of the way home. It was so much fun.

Craig and Hayden
Saturday, March 10, 2007

These are all pictures of us getting our green stripes. The guy with the gray hair is Jim Nauer he's a 1st degree black belt, the guy in the picture of just him is Mark Petre, Stacey,Craig, and Kevin's Dad, and the young man is Craig. Stacey wasn't there because she had college, and I don't know why Mr. McClurg wasn't there.

Tae Kwon Do
I take Tae Kwon DO at the local YMCA and man is it a work out. I am a yellow belt now and am about to get my green stripe. (maybe next session) We might do a tournament with another Tae Kwon Do class sometime. I can hardly wait. Our instructer, Stacey, is sooo cool. She's nineteen and she's a 2nd degree blackbelt. The all-over instructer is really awesome. He has been taking martial arts for 32 years and is a 2nd degree blackbelt. He has also taken like 6 other martial arts. All-together there are five blackbelts. If you ever want to get in shape I suggest you take Tae Kwon Do.
Winter Wonderland
It is soooo cold out. I had to shovel today and it's freezing. But that's OK I LOVE shoveling. We are going tubing with the B's today. (if you know us real well you'll know who they are) I can hardly wait. In December there wasn't any snow but now... Whala!
Man from Snowy River
We went to the Page's yesterday and watched Man From Snowy River. It was so much fun. We had pizza and pigs in a blanket.Kelly is going to teach me how to ride like that in the summer.:)
Martha King
Martha King died on Wednesday at 11:30pm. She was in the hospital when she died and her husband was with her and maybe some friends. Her all of her sisters were there with her for the last weeks. She was only 32 and she has two little boys. One is three and the other one is four. Just pray for the entire family.

Awesome Video From Youtube (to especially Liv White)
Kelly and Jason P. are real life cowboys that really have done this multiple times on their horses on steeper mountains. (Without breaking any bones on them or their horses). Ps: This is from "Man from Snowy River"

Family
Becca Barlow
Welcome
Hi,
This is my first blog that I've ever done so obviously I'm kind of new at this. The purpose of this blog is to tell you a little about myself and what I feel and what my beliefs and dreams are. Maybe I should start out by telling you my testimony. I am a PK (pastors kid) and so I grew up in a christian home. In 2002 my mom became a born again believer after pretending to be a christian since college. When she got saved I began to seriously think about my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I realized that I really didn't know Jesus as my own personal Savior. I had been living off my parents faith so to speak. So on July 21,2002 I accepted Jesus as my Redeemer. Ever since then Jesus has really worked in my life to strengthen me as a christian. OK. Now you know my testimony so NOW I am going to tell you about my dream. I have always loved horses since a was a toddler. I have always dreamed about owning my own horse and galloping across open fields and through the woods. Well, in May of 2006 the Lord really laid upon my heart to open a ranch for abused kids to come and live and ride horses. I want to share my love for horses and Jesus with other people and I think the Lord wants me to do it this way. In the summer of 2006 a really awesome christian cowboy named Kelly started taking me on trail rides with him and his son Garrett in return for me helping him clean out his stalls. Kelly has really been a great influence in my life. He has taught pretty much all that I know about horses and taking care of them. Another influence in my life was John. He is a Mennonite cowboy who lives in Canada. He has the same dream as me and is planning to open his ranch in Alberta. John really encouraged me to keep pressing on to my goal. When I graduate I am, Lord willing, going to work at Circle C Ranch as a wrangler kind of as a test run to see if I really want to work with kids and horses 24/7. The Lord continues to work in my life everday, shaping me into what He wants me to be.
