I am finally writing! I know! It's a miracle. Lot's has been going on and I haven't really had the time to write. I have been riding quite a lot at our neighbors house. She was doing a free lease from her cousin for a horse named George. When she decided that she didn't want to lease him anymore we took over the lease. She used to go to our church, and is letting us keep him at her place for free. George is a Tennesse Walker/Rocky Mountain cross. He is really lazy because he wasn't exercised much. Danny and I have been having the time of our lives riding him. We set up buckets in the barrel pattern. So now we run buckets instead of barrels. If George was my horse to keep I would rename him. George is such an unimaginative name. But he is a cool horse. His lope is so smooth. For you non-horse people a lope is faster then a trot and slower then an all out run. Below is a picture of me and George in the barn. I was telling him to look at the camera but obviously he didn't listen to me.

Blisters!
I am don't really have anything else to post about so I am going to post some pictures of my blisters. I was really bored when I took them just like I am now. The pictures really don't do the pain or the size of them justice. They are way better now and are turning to callous. So next time I do hay I will be able to do without gloves and without the blisters!!!

Long week!!!
Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in so long.:( I've been really busy. I built a deck with my sundayschool teacher and did some hay with the Backlas'. I didn't have gloves on so I got huge blisters! They hurt so bad. Today we had our family reunion and then Jamie's graduation party. Danny and I went to Kelly Jo's and rode the two horses that she is keeping at her house. It was so much fun!! We got to lope alot! If any of you non-horse people don't know what loping is,it is faster then a trot and slower then an all out run. Next week the Popp's are taking me and Danny out to Chinese! I can hardly wait! It is late and I am exhausted, so see you later!

Really Busy!!
Mom and Abby just got home from Colorado. They had a ton of fun. It's my turn next year. I can hardly wait! I had a birthday too. I am 15 now! One more year and then I can drive. Scary huh? I got some really cool stuff. Probably my two favorite presents were the phonecalls from Olivia in Kindamba and Claire in Imfondo Congo. I cried after I talked to Olivia and I was so hyper after Claire's call. Only one more year before they come home. I met this really cool girl on Friday at Michelle and Fred's. Her name is Laura. She is a roper and looks like Stacey my Tae Kwon Do teacher. She is really nice. I have been crazy busy. I am getting a nice tan though.:) It has been 90 degrees the last couple of days. It's awesome. Emily opened her pool so we are going over there tonight after church. I don't know if I'll swim though.Next Saturday is a rodeo in Clarkson, NY I might be going but I am not sure. It would be my third rodeo that I have been to in my whole life!

A Real Cowgirl!!
Ok. So we went over to the Backlas' the other day and they put their steers and heifers in the arena. Me and Danny got a couple of horses and went out to play with them. We pretended that we were on a cattle drive and we had a ton of fun. Afterwards we branded a couple of the bulls. I got to brand one. Michelle said that I was a real cowgirl since I did that. :) Here are some pictures of me branding the bull and Freddie on a training horse that I have affectionately christened Sam Cougar Houstan after a character in a book. Cougar is a gorgeous horse, or so I think.

Me and Pal
This is me and my friend Louis's horse Pal.
Louis uses Pal to rope with and he also announes on him. I've been learning to trot without bouncing. It really is a whole lot easier when you're not bouncing all over. Michelle Backlas is teaching me.
This is me and Louis on Silver Dollar. Dollar is the horse that I am learing how to ride on. Danny LOVES this horse. He's fun to ride. If they get a buyer then they will have to sell him, but that's their business, so I'm to sad about it.

Blue Belts!
We got our blue belts! The test was hard. we tested right after I got over the stomach flu so I didn't feel well anyways, but then Mr. Naurert said that we were testing. In the picture Miss Hume is giving me my blackbelt. Miss Hume is a 3rd degree blackbelt and is amazing at pattern. I am aiming on getting my blackbelt before I graduate. I am also working at Perry schools Honeycomb program teaching Tae Kwon Do. I enjoy it sometimes, but it can be stressful alot.

Cowboy Logic
This is a great cowboy song by Michael Martin Murphey. He's one of my favorite cowboy singers.
A Real Job!
I got a REAL job, almost. Katy, Abby, and I are teaching Tae Kwon Do at a middle school. I can hardly wait. We taught once. It is not half as disciplined as where we take it. Most of the kids aren't really serious about it. It is really fun though. My aim is to get my blackbelt before I graduate. I really want to excel at Tae Kwon Do. I want to become as good as Stacey. We get paid $7.15 an hour. I am going to save it all for a car. I am going to tithe all of the money I get from feeding Broadway so that I can just keep the money from TKD and not worry about taking any from that. I'll post later.
